We shall leave Capetown in the beginning of september for our trip back to Holland.
First Namibia than east through Botswana, Zambia and Malawi up north through eastern africa.
We need to back in Holland mid january. How many months do you have?

There is a ferry (http://www.unroro.com.tr/TR/INDEX/default.asp) from Turkey to Egypt vv.
So travelling the east route should (theoretically) be possible.
