Airline tickets are now far beyond the means of most Zimbabweans
Zimbabwe's loss-making state airline has announced a 500% increase in fares, making air travel impossible for all but the country's most wealthy. Air Zimbabwe said spiralling costs had forced it to increase ticket prices on all domestic and international routes. Zimbabwe's economic crisis, the worst since independence in 1980, pushed inflation to over 1,000% last month.
